School Administrator: To setup access for students from home
A jpeg image and a bitmap image (left), both labeled Math Drill Express, are attached to the email received with this form. The school website administrator will use one of the images (some computers can load jpeg while others prefer bitmap) to create a clickable link on the school’s website to the website above.

Students accessing the site will choose “Students Enter Here”, then follow prompts on drop down menus, selecting a state, county, and school from drop-down menus. They will enter the school mascot name as their password.

Students may select “At Home” or “At School”. Automatic record keeping is available for “At School” sessions only. The at-home site is for student practice. Teachers are encouraged to assign to the site and suggest that students print the results of their sessions and the associated worksheets.

School Administrator: To setup access for teacher record keeping
To initially setup teacher access, go to the site above (http://secure.math-matters.com) and select “Teachers and Administrators Enter Here”. Enter the following Username and Password.

Press “Login”.

The screen at right will appear. Select “Manage Teachers”.

Enter the names of teachers (as they will later appear on a drop-down menu) and assign a username and password to each of them. [Note: punctuation marks such as apostrophes, hyphens, periods, slashes, spaces, etc. are not accepted as usernames and passwords. Punctuation marks are allowed in the field for the names of teachers.]

After entering the names of teachers and assigning passwords, email the appropriate username and password to each teacher.

Teachers:
Automatic record keeping is optional.
To setup automatic record keeping
1. Go to the site above (http://secure.math-matters.com).
2. Select “Teachers and Administrators Enter Here”.
3. Enter the Username and Password assigned by the school administrator.
4. Press “Login”.
5. Select “Manage Students”.
6. Select “Add a Student”.

Student use of the Math Drill Express site is completely intuitive once the icon is on the school’s homepage and student names are entered.

Once students begin to access the program from school and elect to save their results, the teacher can later go into the site, click on a student name, and the results of all the student’s sessions will be displayed. The accumulated results may be printed.
